It’s a relay race around the track and the spectators are cheering fervently for their racing friends. The racers are red-faced as their gloved hands pump the wheels furiously. The crowd laughs as several racers learn that driving a wheelchair is harder than it looks, going straight when you want to turn, or backwards when you want to go forward. The leader boards change and the excitement builds on the road to the final four.

Who will win this year? Hopefully your team!!! But the definite winners will be the men, women and families who benefit from the services of Goodwill Industries.

We invite you to join us on Saturday, May 20 ,2017 for our 27th annual fund-raiser as a participant or spectator. The Wheel-A-Thon helps you learn first-hand about the challenges and barriers people with disabilities face on a daily basis.

Goodwill Industries is a non-profit organization that has served the “heart of Ohio” for forty years.

The proceeds from the Wheel-A-Thon support our programs and services. Goodwill’s Workforce Development Department and Mission Services programs help individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment explore possible careers, prepare for the job market, and find appropriate employment opportunities within their community.

Mother's Day

Celebrate Mom

Considering all of the incredible things our moms have done for us over the years, the very least they deserve is a really wonderful, heart-felt celebration on Mother’s Day. With just a few days left to prepare, we’re hoping you’ve already got some great ideas. If not, let us help! Goodwill’s goal is to aid in the success of people who are striving to earn a paycheck and support their families – many of those people are moms who work tirelessly to provide. Here’s an idea that you can help those mothers in your community while also giving your mom a little relief next Sunday.

Treat your mom to an easy, stress-free brunch, complete with a yummy meal and, most importantly, plenty of quality time with you. Goodwill has a large variety of linens, plates, & serving dishes all at a great price. And, just by shopping at Goodwill, you will create the perfect brunch to honor your mom while also helping others.

All of the moms we know just want a little break on Mother’s Day. That means no cooking, no cleaning, and a little pampering. Oh, and make sure you thank her for her years of selflessness and hard work. She’s earned it. Happy Mother’s Day!
